In order to speed up the service, we have 9 pilot engines capable of at least 20 knots at sea at our stations.
The pilot motors are built with today’s state-of-the-art technological facilities and equipped in accordance with international standards.
In these engines, the captain’s cabin is designed in such a way that the captain can see the entire surroundings; the captain can easily see the upper part of the pilot’s cross hanging from the deck of the ship he is docked with and can easily control the pilot’s entry and exit to and from the ship.
Again, the engine captain can control all indicators such as compass, rudder, speed, engine, navigation lights indicators from his seat.
While steering, he can use the engine joysticks, VHF, GPS, sounder, radar with daytime display, night and fog searchlights.
Pilot engine personnel are trained to intervene in case of man overboard.
We also have a sufficient number of vehicles available for transfers between stations and to ensure the fastest and safest land transportation of our pilots to the ship to be departed.
In addition, thanks to its construction design and equipment, in order to provide pilotage services in a safe and uninterrupted manner, pilotage engines serve in all working conditions and at all hours of the day in the port areas we are responsible for.
